It was a pleasure to contribute to EXE 2025 as a speaker representing GDG Sri Lanka. I had the opportunity to share my expertise on Google Cloud for Game Development, a topic I'm passionate about. I truly admire the event's novel concept and its important mission of promoting production-level game development within the Sri Lankan community. EXE was a very interesting event to be part of, it let me see what the next generation of game developers in Sri Lanka were like and convinced me that the industry has a bright future.

I have seen how important community-driven support is for the growth of game development in Sri Lanka. Levelstair has been doing meaningful work in this space by creating grassroots events that bring developers, creators, students, and industry enthusiasts together. Their efforts go beyond simply hosting events. They are helping build confidence, visibility, and opportunity for local game developers who are trying to find their place in the industry. For a growing ecosystem like ours, that kind of consistent support is invaluable. A major example of this impact was the recent LKGDC, which was recognized by the International Game Developers Association. This was a real milestone for the Sri Lankan game development industry, and it showed what is possible when local communities are given the right platform, structure, and support. Levelstair’s work is helping strengthen the foundation of Sri Lanka’s game development community, and I truly appreciate their commitment to uplifting the industry from the ground up. Sri Lanka’s game development scene needs more initiatives like this, and Levelstair is playing an important role in moving it forward.

We were incredibly impressed with what Levelstair put together. Speaking from experience, if an initiative like Levelstair had existed when I first started, it would have made the game development journey so much easier.
